It looks like Adidas is going to be making some strong moves in 2009.  We've already reported on the addition of Adidas SLVR, which from what I'm told by Adidas insiders is the Margiela-esque answer to their already successful Y-3 collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto.  Now it looks like the Originals brand will be introducing a series of guest designers to add a different aesthetic to their current "old school" repitore.  The innaugural season of ObyO designers include Jeremy Scott, Alyasha and Kazuki, and although there are no official announcements yet, there are hints of this series extending for years to come.

"All three collections, consisting of a total of 68 apparel pieces and 24 footwear styles, will hit selected retail and fashion doors including boutiques from February 1st, 2009. A wider retail introduction including adidas Originals stores will follow shortly afterwards from March 1st . Apparel prices range from €50 to €140 for core pieces and from €150 to €450 for statement styles.
