So when I saw that Grant Achatz was releasing a cookbook consisting of recipes from his best-restaurant-in-the-country restaurant Alinea, I pulled out my debit card and got to ordering. Which is funny because if it doesn't go in the microwave I probably can't cook it. But this is so much more than a cookbook. This is art. This is the reason that food is one of the finer things in life. For skeptics who say they would never spend Alinea type money on food, I dare you to not open this book and be intrigued. The photography combined with the complex execution of the food and the creativity that goes into that food is astounding.
After you purchase the book, you are also granted access to alinea-mosaic.com which allows owners of the book to view videos as well as access a message board.
...and just for kicks, here's a video of Chef Achatz and crew working their magic in the Alinea kitchen...
